This is a list of games for the PlayStation 4 that feature native support of a keyboard and mouse for use during actual gameplay. That means no modding, adapters or other extra hardware/software is required for these games to be play with a standard USB keyboard and mouse. They are strictly plug-and-play; easy and free, assuming you already have a compatible USB keyboard and mouse.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
This MMORPG was first released on the PS3 in 2013 and was later released for PS4 in April of 2014. The game takes place on the fictional continent of Eorzea on the planet Hydaelyn. As to be expected from a MMO game, A Realm Reborn allows you to create your own character with unique classes and physical attributes that match your personality. You can then begin exploring the large world filled with exhilarating boss battles and plenty of loot with your own raiding party.
This F2P aviation and World War II combat game not only supports a keyboard and mouse, but is also cross-platform with PC. This means PS4 War Thunder players will be playing on the same servers as PC gamers, so the ability to use a keyboard and mouse instead of the DualShock 4 is reassuring for anyone worried about balance issues. The developers also claim support for flightsticks will be added in a future update.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that Paragon, a MOBA developed by Epic Games, now supports mouse and keyboard on PS4. Epic Games was put on a very short list of developers that allowed native mouse and keyboard input on the PlayStation 3 with the release of Unreal Tournament 3.
That’s all for now. This list will be updated as often as possible. If you’re aware of a game that has been left off please send me a message.
